Join Gifted Hands for the exciting opening night of the Lamb’s fall exhibition!
On FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH, from 7PM – 10PM
they will be previewing, “Community.”
Hosted by Gifted Hands, a collective of volunteers working to improve the lives of underprivileged communities in New York City, this event is aimed at raising awareness through art. The event is free, but the artworks (ranging from paintings to jewelry) will be for sale.
Stop by to view the gallery composed of works made by the hands of some of the people struggling to get by in our city (they need your help now more than ever). While you shop around, enjoy the sounds of “Peter & Jolie”, eat some delicious food, and if you’re feeling creative, sit down at an art station and help make something special.
Gifted Hands serve the neighborhoods through art, music, spiritual support and other programs. They build bonds with men’s and women’s shelters, recovery programs, crisis pregnancy centers, HIV/AIDS residences, elder care residencies, youth-at-risk centers, foster care group homes, churches, after-school programs, and with people living on the street.
“Hundreds of our neighbors find great satisfaction and see life more positively just by picking up a paintbrush and showing us what they see; by molding a piece of clay into something they feel pride about having mad; by learning how to sing music they could never have imagined even hearing.”
Although the event is free, please RSVP to 917 604 6171 or 774 240 2275. See you there!
