F/T, $33,000+/year, based on experience. Youth America Grand Prix (www.yagp.org), a busy non-profit dance education organization working with leading dance companies, schools and professionals in the U.S. and abroad has an opportunity for a highly organized, self-motivated admin assistant/office manager able to work under pressure to:

- organize and maintain year-round communications with dance schools, venues, members of the jury, guest artists performing in the YAGP Galas, and VIP’s in the international dance world;
- organize & keep track of special guests’ travel and hotel accommodations;
- maintain a development calendar (research grants and deadlines, prepare grant applications, keep track of incoming donations)
- help coordinate special events (fundraising events, post-Gala receptions, etc.)
- work closely with Artistic Director and maintain her correspondence;
- help coordinate the production schedule;
- travel to U.S. locations to provide admin support during competition season.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written & oral communication skills a must;
- Excellent proofreading skills;
- typing skills (min 40 wpm), proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Access required;
- organization, self-motivation, and follow-up skills;
- ability to prioritize tasks;
- willingness to work overtime when needed;
- willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and enthusiasm for the art of dance are a plus.

Flexible hours, will work in the NYC office on 23rd Street and Park Ave, sometimes will have opportunity to work from home. Salary $33,000/yr + according to skills & experience, with opportunity for salary increase based on performance.
