Candidates must have experience in not-for-profit arts management – a master’s degree preferred. A deep understanding of fundraising and expertise in development of support structures for sustainable growth is vital. Excellent communication, administrative and financial management skills are essential. Proven ability to negotiate with union and non-union vendors. Able to build, foster and effectively organize the institution’s volunteer base. Be a catalyst and be comfortable working as part of a team while leading with a firm hand, but kind heart. Computer and Internet literacy required. Proficiency in several languages is a plus. Vast experience and understanding of the dance world is helpful, but not necessary.
