PRODUCTION / DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP
Neville Dance Theatre, a rising ballet-ethnic New York City dance company now in it’s fourth year, seeks a Production & Development Intern to work closely with the Artistic Director on our upcoming New York City seasonal production and fundraising endeavors.
Flexible hours, 10-12 hours per week, to begin immediately now through mid-December, with chance for extension. Seeking a reliable, professional, motivated, self-starter with superb writing, phone, debate and management skills to assist in the following areas:
Work closely with the Artistic Director on production duties including promotions, rehearsals and backstage/theatre help.
Manage aspects of Donations and Corporate Sponsorships including outreach, research, and follow up correspondence.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of our Ticket Sponsorship Program including contacting donors and recipient organizations and finalizing arrangements.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITY: Great opportunity for those interested in working in the arts, gaining real world experience and in seeing projects through to completion. Intern will have serious responsibility and be solely in charge of above duties. College credit may be available. Possible opportunity for paid, permanent employment may be available beyond the internship for the right candidate. Prior candidates are now working in prominent positions with dance companies including the Mark Morris Dance Group and The Ailey School.
